Departments API

The Platform Departments API lists the departments in the Glean directory.

Use Cases

Directory Departments

List the departments that active users belong to. Inactive departments are left out unless you filter for them.

Usage Limit Targets

Find the exact department names to use when you name a department as a usage limit target.

A department is active when at least one active user belongs to it. Department names are exact, so names that differ only by case are different departments.

Use departments to name usage limit targets.

These endpoints are experimental. Send X-Glean-Include-Experimental: true on each request, or they are not exposed.
